Set pay rates, award levels and employment type
- Admin
Short answer
Open the person's profile from People, go to the Contract & pay tab, set their Employment type and Award level, and check the Hourly rate (AUD). Add a date of birth on Identity for junior rates. Only an Admin can see and change pay.
Open the pay details
- In the Dashboard, open People. On a wide screen, People is under the Team menu.
- Click the person's name to open their profile.
- Click the Contract & pay tab.
Set the employment type
- Under Contract, pick the Employment type: Full-time, Part-time, Casual or Fixed-term.
- Add Contracted hours if they have them.
- Click Save.
Set the award level and rate
- Under Pay, pick the Award level, for example Introductory or Level 1 to Level 6. Fast food has its own levels.
- The Hourly rate (AUD) follows the level. You can enter a higher rate.
- Click Save.
If the rate is below the award rate for that level, the profile won't save and asks you to raise the rate.
If the person's home venue has a second award, you can pick a different Award for them.
Junior rates
- Open the Identity tab.
- Enter their Date of birth. Leave it blank and they are paid the adult rate.
- Click Save.
The Contract & pay tab then shows their Junior rate for their age.

Add and invite staff
In People, click Add staff, fill in their name, role, pay and venue, then click Save and invite to email them a link to set their password. Save as draft puts them on the roster without emailing them.
Request and approve leave
Staff request leave in My Roster under Leave › + Request. Admins and Venue Leads approve or decline it in the Dashboard under Leave, and can add leave for someone who called in sick.
