The kiosk says You are offline

  • Everyone
Updated 13 October 2026

Short answer

Staff can keep clocking. Each clock is saved on the tablet and sent when the connection comes back, or when you tap Send now. Clocks older than 48 hours can't be sent and need adding by hand.

What it means

The tablet can't reach Roux Roster. This also happens when the Wi-Fi is on but has no internet. The kiosk shows You are offline and Punches are saved on this tablet and send when the connection returns.

Keep clocking

  • Staff clock as usual. After each clock, the kiosk shows Saved on this tablet.
  • Someone can only clock offline on a tablet where they have used their PIN before. If not, the kiosk says This tablet has not seen your PIN yet. It needs a connection.
  • Other tablets and managers can't see these clocks until they are sent.

When the connection comes back

  • Saved clocks send by themselves. The banner shows how many are waiting, for example 2 punches waiting to send.
  • To send them straight away, tap Send now.

If a clock needs a manager

If the kiosk shows 1 punch needs a manager (or more) and Not saved. A manager fixes it on Timesheets., a saved clock couldn't be sent. For example, a clock older than 48 hours can't be sent.

  1. Tap Review to see whose clock it is and when it was.
  2. A manager adds or fixes the time on Timesheets. See Fix a timesheet.
  3. Tap Clear next to the clock, then Clear again to confirm.

Get it back online

  • Check the tablet's Wi-Fi, and that the venue's internet is working.
  • Check our status page to see if Roux Roster is having a problem.
  • If you still can't connect, send us a message.
